Born and raised in the Caribbean isles of Trinidad and Tobago, he migrated to the US at the age of 20 to hone his culinary talents and pursue his passion for cuisine.

Now, with almost 20 years’ experience in the Food industry, Osei is one of the most sought-after West Indian Chefs in New York City. He has cooked in kitchens across the US including for the Mayor of NYC at his home and a dinner at the United Nations at the NYC office.

Osei is the Owner of Picky Eaters Restaurant, Ariapita Restaurant, and Chef Picky Events & Catering. He also hosts a quarterly food event ” The Picky Experience” where he prepares Caribbean inspired food with a modern twist..

PUSHING BOUNDARIES

Chef Picky, restauranteur and culture enthusiast has even more reason to push the boundaries of his craft. This summer, he was handpicked to tell new stories using his beloved Caribbean cuisine as his voice. In addition to showing off his culinary skills at a number of different places, his highest honors have included The Gracie Mansion (Official residence of the Mayor of New York City), the United Nations Headquarters in NYC and most recently, The James Beard House. He also hosts a slew of “Foodie” events in his hometown of Brooklyn, from his famous “Foodie Fridays” and “Come for Curry”, to “Meatless Mondays”, his latest contribution to the Caribbean social epicurean landscape.
